The groin is located where the upper part of the thighs meets the lowest parts of the abdomen, on either side of the pubic bone. Many medical conditions can cause pain in this area in women.
Swollen lymph nodes in the groin in women have many of the same causes as in men. A lower body infection, such as yeast infection or athlete’s foot, is the most likely cause.
