Police pulled the body from water near Pier Road in Greenhithe, close to Dartford Crossing, just after 1pm. It comes after the force received reports a person had entered the River Thames in Essex.

The death is not currently being treated as suspicious. Police were called to Pier Road in Greenhithe where a body was pulled from the river A report is being prepared for the coroner.
