Police say those arrested are part of a street gang called "NRK," responsible for defacing Assomption and Cadillac metro stations with street grafitti. Cleanup efforts cost taxpayers about $250,000.

The crosswalk at École Harbour Landing School was also vandalized in late July with graffiti. Volunteers gathered on July 24 to paint over the graffiti.
