The original Google Meet app will remain until further notice. The merger of Google Duo and Google Meet means that there will now be two “Google Meet” apps, which has left users confused.

Despite the Google Meet brand winning out in 2022, the “Google Duo” app had many more installs (5 billion vs. 500 million as of today).

Meet works on the web, smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop PCs. If you have a meeting scheduled while you’re away from your computer, use Google Meet’s On-the-Go feature to join calls.
