For Google Assistant to work on your Wear OS smartwatch, you’ll need to be connected to your phone or have an active LTE connection. If you do, the possibilities are virtually endless.

Tap your Google account icon (top right), then choose Extensions to see what’s available (and to disable any extensions if, say, you don’t want Gemini snooping through your Gmail or Google Docs).

Google Assistant first debuted on the Pixelbook in 2017 before rolling out to all other devices in 2019. At the moment, it exists as an icon in the top-right corner of the Launcher.

To activate Google Assistant, the user simply has to say “Hey Google,” press the push-to-talk button on the steering wheel, or tap the Google Assistant icon on the center console.
