Matteo Manassero handled the brunt of the afternoon cold and wind and made two eagles on his way to a 5-under 66 for a one-shot lead in the Irish Open on Friday.

And it won’t be leaving for a while. The capital woke up to windchill factors of -30 and colder, but the thermometer should soar to a high of -13 C in real degrees by the afternoon.

A few flurries will begin early Monday afternoon, according to Environment Canada, with about two centimetres expected. Winds will be up 15 km/h.
