PORTAGE, Mich. — A boil water advisory has been issued for parts of Portage. The city of Kalamazoo was repairing a water gate valve on Lorraine Avenue when a temporary loss of pressure occurred.

Kalamazoo's Department of Public Services issued the advisory Wednesday after water pressure dropped during a water gate valve repair on Hazel Avenue, according to the City of Kalamazoo.
