Ahmedabad: In view of the upcoming Ganesh Chaturthi festival, police commissioner G S Malik has issued strict new regulations for Ganesh idol height and immersion, effective from Tuesday until Sep 12.

Ganeshotsav, also known as Ganesh Chaturthi, is a 10-day festival that continues until Anantha Chaturdashi. This year, Ganesh Chaturthi will begin on Wednesday, August 27.
