BEND, Ore. (KTVZ) — This winter’s deep snowpack will delay the opening of 20 Deschutes National Forest campgrounds in time for Memorial Day weekend, officials said Friday.

A spokesperson for the Deschutes National Forest said snow levels are impacting 13 campgrounds from the Bend-Fort Rock Ranger District and 7 campgrounds from the Crescent Ranger District.
