A human foot found along the shore of Fish Lake has been confirmed as belonging to a man who disappeared in 1997.

The foot was found on May 16 on the shore of Fish Lake in Sevier County. According to an announcement released Tuesday by the sheriff's office, a man was walking his dog when the dog picked up a shoe.
The Utah Sheriff's Fish Lake Search and Rescue Conference will take place on June 6 and 7. As part of the conference, the group plans to lead a search for more of the missing person's remains.
