Revise how to plot a linear equation graph. Learn how to read x and y coordinates from a graph in this BBC Bitesize maths KS3 guide.
Example Draw the graph of \ (y = x^2 -x - 4 \) and use it to find the roots of the equation to 1 decimal place. Draw and complete a table of values to find coordinates of points on the graph.
The top part of that image is the equation itself. The bottom part is a graph of the equation, which, as you can see, is exactly the same. To be fair, this equation cheats a little bit.
