Fear Factor was an iconic competition show back in the early aughts, forcing contestants to face their fears in pursuit of a grand cash prize. Facing those fears wasn't for the faint of heart, with challenges ranging from physically challenging to downright disgusting.

“Fear Factor” has a long lineage. The series was originally hosted by Joe Rogan on NBC, then by Ludacris on MTV. Over the course of each episode, contestants vie for thousands of dollars by taking part in stunts that may involve physical challenges, gross-out demands and even extreme-action scenarios.

Fear Factor is being revived at FOX under the title Fear Factor: The Next Chapter, which the network announced in May. Now they have revealed the host for the gross-out competition series and it's definitely a fitting choice — Jackass creator and star Johnny Knoxville.
