I've seen broken cars. So that's a problem. That maybe there should be a charging station out there somewhere. We're not all the way there yet with our infrastructure, but we are making rapid strides.
A company called Ionna, formed by eight automakers, revamped a former Phillips 66 gas station near Raleigh, N.C., into a station called the Rechargery. Their chargers can deliver up to 400 kilowatts.
Still, that's way less than the roughly 120,000 gas stations nationwide, and public efforts to grow charging infrastructure appear to be slow-going so far.
