Iqaluit's Discovery hotel has been sold to new owners who intend to keep it as a hotel, the current owner says. The family-run general contracting company Tower Arctic bought the building in 1979.

The new “Canopy” hotel would rise on land abutting SeaWorld’s Discovery Cove theme park that’s now used for parking. It shows a 6-story hotel with a large centralized pool amenity.
