CALUMET CITY | The husband of former Hoover-Schrum Elementary District 157 CEO/Superintendent Rosemary Hendricks plans to retire from the district at the end of the 2010-11 school year.

Lewis was born on Aug. 22, 1938, in Clovis, New Mexico, to Ralph and Florence (Dean) Hendricks. He grew up helping his parents on their family farm in House, New Mexico.
