With a thrust rating of 105,000 pounds, the GE9X is capable of producing enough power to propel the massive Boeing 777X across long-haul routes while maintaining excellent fuel efficiency.

GE Aerospace said the order includes a service agreement to cover maintenance, repair and overhauls of the GE9X engines. The engines will be used to power 20 Boeing 777-9s and up to 30 787-10s.
