A remake of the legendary Counter-Strike 1.6 is set to launch on Steam this year - but Valve's history of shutting down fan projects remains a concern.

It even has the static falling-over death animation that Counter-Strike 1.6 players remember well. According to the trailer, the project is coming to Steam Early Access in 2025.

Welcome to CS: Legacy, a top-to-bottom remake of Counter-Strike 1.6 built using Valve's 2013 Source SDK (software development kit). All the assets and code are custom-made.
