The original Corgi 007 Aston Martin DB5 toy debuted in October 1965, about a year after the “ Goldfinger” movie showed Sean Connery behind the wheel of the gadget-infused spy-mobile.

If it's true that big boys love big toys, they also love small ones. For most of the 20th century, diecast cars have been one of the most popular collecting categories among males of all ages.

Corgi is still making these DB5 diecast models to this day, having sold over 20 million of them since their introduction in 1965. As the name implies, they’re named after the DB5 from Goldfinger.
