The animation in The Good Dinosaur is stunningly beautiful. Photo-realistic, even. And yet, the story is so basic, so immature, and so disjointed that the visuals are in service of a dud of a plot.

It’s colorful, bright, and bold. And of course, it wouldn’t be a teaser without Devil Dinosaur, who always has his girl’s back.

On Thursday, July 21, at the San Diego Comic-Con, Marvel announced the animated series Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur and dropped teasers as well as additional footage for the show.

The dinosaur crowd was a diverse bunch: oviraptors and other bird ancestors, but also sauropods (long-necked dinos) and hadrosaurs (duck-billed dinos), which aren’t closely related to birds.

Colourful origins All seven dinosaurs belong to the Eumaniraptorans, a dinosaur group that includes giants like the 10-metre-long Therizinosaurus, as well as all birds.
