The adjacent train cars at 1515 High St., in Baldwin City, offer some history with a look at the inside 1920 mail cars. “It’s always fun to see kids' faces light up,” he said.

Although the train does not make stops in this area, residents near and far do their best to keep track of the train’s location and stand by to catch a glimpse of the decorated festive train cars.

The event will feature cars dating from 1903 to 1980 and will include a train display, live music, and Christmas decor. All proceeds will go to Housing Opportunities of Northern Kentucky (HONK).
