CeCe Winans has won a slew of Grammys and other awards for gospel music. And she will open her tour in February at the Canton Memorial Civic Center.

Later that year, Winans released “His Gift.” In 1999, Winans started her own recording company, PureSprings Gospel. Her first album on the label was “Alabaster Box” in 1999.

Winans, 54, says by phone that she was happy to make another album of holiday music. “There’s always room to express something new, especially when Christmas is so personal.
