TORONTO - Canada Post has directed its carriers to stop raising the flag on mailboxes to indicate they've delivered mail.

S ince 1982, the city of Bonners Ferry in North Idaho has flown its Canadian flag alongside the U.S. and Idaho flags, reflecting a shared connection with its northern neighbors, just 27 miles away.
