Caltex and Woolworths have launched an extended partnership today which will see their service stations roll out 4c a litre discounts at 125 service stations across Australia.
Caltex's takeover bid for Woolworths petrol stations failed after oil and gas multinational BP struck a $1.79 billion deal with the supermarket giant in December.
THE pair said 39 Caltex petrol stations would end their alliance with Woolworths and would no longer offer discounts linked to the supermarket.
Caltex has supplied fuel to Woolworths' 534 service stations since 2004 under a contract worth about $150 million a year. That has been slashed by $80 million under the new deal.
