The Bugatti Tourbillon is the first new hypercar from Rimac’s ownership of the French automaker. The model’s name refers to a mechanically complex watch movement, and the vehicle is similarly a masterpiece of craftsmanship.

Not even the company CEO could believe how nice the Tourbillon sounds at full chat. "I don't think we understand yet what we have built," read an on-screen caption for Rimac's Instagram reel. "This will be one for the history books.

While the Chiron was powered by a 8.0-liter W-16 engine, the Tourbillon’s is an 8.3-liter V-16. That engine makes the bulk of the Tourbillon’s power, with an additional 800 horsepower provided by three electric motors, two in the front and one in the rear.

The 2026 Bugatti Tourbillon sounds like one mean machine in a new audio clip shared by the head of the company. The successor to the Chiron is the first car from Bugatti to use a V-16 engine, now that the brand retired its famous W-16 format.

Like the Veyron and Chiron, the Tourbillon has a deep rumble but sounds even better. Bugatti says the new hypercar can hit 124 mph (200 km/h) in less than 5 seconds. The Bugatti Tourbillon didn’t need to exist.
