Happily, the game makes a heck of a case for doing just that. At first glance, "Braid" resembles a side-scrolling action game in the "Super Mario Bros." vein.

In many ways, it is this story that remains Braid ’s greatest puzzle. The Anniversary Edition reworks the original game’s visuals and soundtrack, both of which still impress.
