Playing as Bowser is going to be a blast, literally. While my time with Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle was underwhelming, I have much higher hopes for the next installment.

Mario + Rabbids: A Sparks of Hope got a brand new trailer during today’s Nintendo Direct Mini which focuses on the game’s turn-based combat, Bowser, and the official release date.

Bowser has a rocket launcher that can hit enemies from far away, Rabbid Luigi has a frisbee that can hit multiple targets as it bounces off of them, Mario dual-wields some blasters, and more.

Your job is to defeat the rabbids running amok in the kingdom, recover the SupaMerge and return Mario’s home world to its former glory, presumably so Bowser can attack it … again.
