The gap between super blue moons can be a decade or two, but NASA says the next ones will occur in both January and March of 2037. The last blue moon occurred two years ago in August 2021.
On top of this rare occasion, this month's blue moon will also be a supermoon. The last time two supermoons graced the sky in the same month was in 2018, and it won’t happen again until 2037.
