Two years after quietly decommissioning Edmonton's 40-year-old outdoor manger scene, the city is rolling out an augmented reality depiction of the nativity instead.
Last held in 2019, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints’ 59th annual Nativity scene will commemorate baby Jesus’ birth, with nightly performances from Dec. 21 to 23.
The experience features between 400 to 500 nativity scenes collected from all around the world. In addition to Live Outdoor Nativity performances and a Crèche Exhibit.
