Right at launch, free-to-play title Splitgate 2 has received a surprise battle royale mode, letting players go into 60-player showdowns to find the best team in this portaling universe.

The 40-player battle royale mode introduces two new weapons - the long-range Grenade Launcher and the Scythe - as well as new premium character Ruby Knowby, voiced by Lucy Lawless.
