Volkswagen has entered a racing version of the ID.4 electric SUV in the Norra 1000 off-road race. The event is being used to test the durability of the electric powertrain.

The company bills it as a 21st century of the Baja Bug, which is a modified Beetle that can handle tough off-road conditions, like the deserts of Baja, Calif.
