Sloth gestation lasts 10 months, and sloths give birth to one baby in the trees, according to the Denver Zoo. Newborn sloths are 10 inches long and weigh up to 13 ounces.

Bosco, a 32-year-old male Hoffmann’s two-toed sloth, became a second-time dad with the baby’s arrival. His first daughter, 5-year-old Bean, lives with him in The Loft at Cheyenne Mountain Zoo.

The Cheyenne Mountain Zoo announced the birth of a Hoffmann’s two-toed sloth on Dec. 18. The baby was born to first-time mom Aysan, who is 9, and dad Bosco, a 32-year-old male.

The zoo’s newest addition was born June 19 to Linne’s two-toed sloth couple Charlotte and Elliot, their fifth baby at the zoo.
