The project was an extension of a one-of-one NFT artwork called " Baby Birkin," which originally sold at auction in May 2021 for 5.5 ETH, or about $23,500 at the time.

The original Birkin is now up for sale for the first time in 25 years at Sotheby’s Paris. It’s expected to surpass the most expensive bag ever sold at auction, which fetched $500,000.
