The 2022 Audi Q3 starts at $36,400 and competes with the Acura RDX ($38,400), BMW X1 ($35,400) and Volvo XC40 ($36,350), among others. The Acura RDX is probably the most handsome.

Not so here. The 2019 Q3 instead consolidates infotainment and navigation options on a single 10.1-inch touchscreen that’s on the dash between vents above and the climate controls below.

Audi will launch the new Q3 in Europe this September, with German pricing starting at €44,600 for the 1.5-liter gas model. The plug-in hybrid starts at €49,300.

The Q3 once again offers a two-liter turbocharged four, now up 28 horsepower (to 228) and 51 lb-ft (to 258). Audi claims a zero-to-60 time of seven seconds flat, 1.2 seconds faster than the old Q3.

The Audi Q3 does lots of things right—it's relatively affordable, roomy, and offers one of the best infotainment user experiences this side of a Tesla. But it's no Volvo XC40.
