MEMPHIS, Tenn. — An accidental apartment fire in Midtown broke out, leaving a man in the hospital and causing over $300,000 worth of damage Wednesday morning, the Memphis Fire Department said.
The Memphis Fire Department (MFD) said a space heater started the fire on the second floor at Midtown Rooms. Investigators estimated nearly $350,000 in damage to the apartments and items inside.
