1. Loads of Old Trouts. They’re doing two shows, Famous Puppet Death Scenes and Trunk Puppets — the first time an Old Trouts show has premièred at Animated Objects, says Xstine Cook.

It is all part of the weird, wild and wonderful world of Animated Objects. The festival was founded 22 years ago, although up until three years ago was only held every two years.

"It's not just for kids," Bedford said. "Puppetry, animation, mask arts, they seem to really resonate with children, but it is a medium. It is not a genre. It's not just cartoons.
