A new patch for Age of Mythology: Extended Edition is now available, adding a new map and cheat codes. There's also bug fixes and some balance tweaks.
Age of Mythology has a new major patch out today. Update 2.8 brings with it a huge list of fixes and balancing changes, a new map, new cheat codes, and tons more.
Age Of Mythology Retold battles can end quickly, but they can just as easily turn into wars of attrition that force players to rely on more than just the resources available on the map.
Where Age of Mythology: Retold truly shines is in its multiplayer mode, and it’s great to see the devs dedicating the time to make this aspect refined enough to be worthy of players’ attention.
Any player who's pre-ordered Age of Mythology: Retold's Premium Edition will be able to take part in a closed beta set to run from Friday July 12 through Sunday July 14.
Whether Age of Mythology: Retold will open the way for full-fledged sequels of expansion packs remains unknown, but one thing keeps its fans at ease – the knowledge that this IP is in good hands.
However, Age of Mythology: Extended Edition came out in 2014, and another remaster of the 2002 original might be a little underwhelming.
