African violets are easily propagated from leaf cuttings. Choose leaves from the middle of the rosette — avoid older (outside) or very young (centre) leaves.
QI have several African violets that are growing out of their pots. I don’t seem to have very good luck transplanting them as they seem to die once they are in a new pot.
How Often Do African Violets Need to Be Repotted? Repotting should occur every six to 12 months, but don’t go overboard with pot size. These plants prefer to be slightly snug in their containers.
