Risedronate users were at a higher risk for developing acute angle closure than those using other bisphosphonates (aIRR, 2.12; 95% CI, 1.17-3.87).

Anyone can get acute angle-closure glaucoma, the AAO says, but women are two to four times more likely than men to develop the condition. It’s also most common in people between 55 to 65 years old.
