ABILENE, Texas - The 7th Bomb Wing at Dyess Air Force Base has a new wing commander. Col. Brandon Parker took command from Col. David Benson at a change of command ceremony Friday.
The total population is 14,000. And, it's not just the 7th Bomb Wing that Dyess supports - it's the 317th Airlift Wing with C-130J's, and the 21st Air Task Force.
“The entire Dyess family is profoundly saddened by the loss of Airman Shute,” Col. Seth Spanier, commander of the 7th Bomb Wing, said in the statement.
