The 4L60E transmission has been used in a slew of 1/2-ton GM trucks and SUVs, and it has even appeared in some GM 3/4-ton trucks. It's a decent transmission that has proven itself a workhorse.

Don't waste your time with a transmissions swap just because your 4L60E is driving you up the wall. Instead rebuild it with a Century overhaul kit and get a 600hp bullet-proof automatic transmission.
