The energy provider said TVA provided 35,319 megawatts of power at peak demand, beating out the Jan. 17, 2024 record of 34,577 megawatts. The news comes after TVA and power companies across the region asked customers to hold back on energy usage to reduce strain on the energy grid. That ask has since expired.
