Arsenal are working on a deal to sign midfielder Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg. Dialogue between the clubs and with the player’s representatives is advancing, as Arsenal try to land the 18-year-old Norway youth international.

Arsenal and Manchester City are battling to sign teenage midfielder Sverre Nypan from Rosenborg, sources have told ESPN.

Norwegian wonderkid Sverre Nypan has been named in the Rosenborg squad for their training camp in Portugal this month, amid mounting interest from Arsenal. The Gunners are one of several clubs keen on signing Nypan, who is regarded as one of the brightest young prospects in Europe.

The midfielder made his debut aged 15 and is the latest exciting prospect to come out of Norway, in the footsteps of Odegaard and Haaland

Sverre Nypan is one of the most talented young players in European football currently. The 18-year-old signed his first professional contract in January 2022 and has since played over 70 matches in all competitions for Rosenborg BK in the Norwegian top-flight.
