The Chicago Bears seemed to shift at least some of their attention for a new stadium back to the suburbs, with president Kevin Warren saying the team’s focus is split between a tract of land it owns in Arlington Heights and the Chicago lakefront.

Chicago Bears President Kevin Warren confirmed at the NFL owners meetings that the team no longer has a singular focus on building its new stadium downtown.

Per ESPN's Courtney Cronin, Bears team president and CEO Kevin Warren said at the NFL annual meeting on Wednesday that the franchise is expanding its options to include Arlington Heights, Illinois, where it owns the 326-acre property that was the previous home of the Arlington International Racecourse.
