The NHL fined New Jersey Devils coach Sheldon Keefe $25,000 for unprofessional conduct toward officials that led to his ejection from his team’s game at Vegas on Sunday after star center Jack Hughes was injured.

Meanwhile, earlier in the day on Wednesday, the NHL announced that "Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe has been fined $25,000 for unprofessional conduct directed at the officials that resulted in an unsportsmanlike conduct bench minor as well as a game misconduct" during Monday's game.

On Sunday night, the New Jersey Devils were shut out 2-0 by the Vegas Golden Knights in a heartbreaking loss, with complete pandemonium toward the end of the game.
