A small commercial passenger plane that went missing in freezing, windy conditions over the Bering Sea near Alaska was found Friday, according to an official from the airline. David Olson, Bering Air’s director of operations,

The Cessna, operated by Bering Air, went off the radar and lost radio contact minutes before it was scheduled to land in Nome.

The plane was flying from the Alaskan coastal city of Unalakleet to another city along the Bering Sea coast, Nome—a journey that usually takes less than an hour.
