Patty Gasso was continuously amazed and surprised by the 2025 OU softball team. Back in September and October, Gasso hoped the few returners, five transfers and nine freshmen she assembled to replace a graduating class of 10 — which included a core of five that never ended a season with a loss — would finish in the middle of the pack in a loaded SEC.
