Senior Carson Evans led the way with 24 points for North Meck, while senior Chadlyn Traylor had 22 points. The high school in Huntersville captured its fourth state title, all of which have come at the 4A level and have happened in the past 20 years.

For the second consecutive season, New Hanover will play for a N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A boys basketball state championship. The Wildcats will face the same team they lost to last season in the finals,
