Former Texas Ranger pitcher Matt Bush has been charged with driving while intoxicated in connection with a Friday night chain collision crash in Arlington in which he allegedly fled an attempted traffic stop before being involved in a multi-vehicle wreck, according to the police report.

Just before 8:30 p.m., police tried to pull over a 2023 Lincoln Aviator "driving erratically" along Pioneer Pkwy.

The player fled from officers during a traffic stop, causing an accident that left one person with minor injuries, police said.

Bush, who has been convicted of a DUI in the past, was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated by the Arlington Police Department.
