Anthony Rivera died from gunshot wounds after he, another passenger and a bus driver were held hostage by Lamont Campbell, 51, during a chase, police said.

The mother and family of the man murdered during the hijacking of an LA Metro bus told NBC4’s I-Team they’re devastated by his death and want to make sure no one else using public transit becomes the victim of violence.

Teresa Flores is still in shock after her 48-year-old son was fatally shot aboard a hijacked Metro bus earlier this week. Flores didn't believe Los Angeles police when they came to her door a few days ago to tell her that her only son was murdered.
