An undeclared milk allergen has prompted a recall of some lots of Wegmans semi-sweet chocolate nonpareils sent to stores in Washington, D.C., and eight states.

The recall warning was issued after it was discovered that the product's packaging failed to declare the presence of milk allergens

Multiple batches of chocolate nonpareils produced by Weaver Nut Company, Inc. and sold across the U.S. have been recalled due to potential undeclared milk allergens, the Food and Drug Administration said.
